Interview with INKA (Techno Türken)

Hello Inka, thank you very much for taking your time. We already had a podcast of you as a Hitparaden Helga. You belong to a collective called Techno Türken. What are the Techno Türken exactly?

The Techno Türken (eng Techno Turks) Collective was founded a few years ago to provide a platform for DJs and musicians with a migrant background to present the music they love. And to dispel the prejudice that all Turks from the techno-world are atzen or prolls. Unfortunately, many organizers and partygoers thought so far. Meanwhile, the picture has changed thanks to the Techno Turks and their legendary May 1st raves. And also the DJs and musicians in the collective are multicultural. Like the city of Berlin. I am very thankful that they supported me right at the beginning of my DJ existence (still under the name of Hitparaden Helga) and that they were and still are enthusiastic about my choice of music and personality (even though I became musically a bit slower last year) ). Long live the  Rakı’n’Roll

What do you love most in Berlin?

Everywhere there are street musicians, who, no matter how stressed I am, always put a smile on my face and inspire me. The rude Berliner dialect also amuses me every time. Too bad that people hardly “berlinern”. This dialect should not die out! I am also fascinated by the history of Berlin. She often lets me daydream and gives me goosebumps. I rejoice every day when I see some positive souls between all the bad-tempered/negative people on the U/S trains and on the street. With their positive aura, they beautify the cityscape immensely and make the world a little less beautiful in their environment.

One of the most beautiful Berlin buildings, as well as landmarks, is and remains, of course, the largest disco ball in the world aka the Berliner TV tower (which is also one of my favorite tracks of Lexy & K-Paul, by the way. How cute and innocent they still looked at that time)

Also legendary is a trip with the MS Renate on May 1.

The listening station on the Teufelsberg you should also look absolutely. There are so many wonderful murals to see, of course, next to the most beautiful view of Berlin.

And what pleases me most is that as part of the Berlin night scene I can and can enchant many people with my burlesque shows and my music selection.
This fills my heart the most and makes my aura shine with happiness even more.
